Survey Says

Thanks to everyone who completed our website survey and congrats to the 3 lucky winners of a free night at a Heritage or CityLife Hotel. In case you’re interested, we wanted to share some of the results with you as well as let you know about some changes we’ve made as a result.

So who are you, survey takers? Well 92% of you are here in New Zealand and almost 75% of you are female – way to go ladies! About 30% of you stay in hotels 6-10 nights per year, but I’m a bit jealous of the 15% who spend 21 or more nights per year away from home! Here’s hoping most of that is spent on holiday! Over half of you travel most often for leisure – lucky! About 1/3 of you browse the internet with your mobile – we hear you and hope to make it a bit easier to browse our site on your phone in the coming months.

Over 2/3 of you have stayed with us in the past, and we certainly hope we’ll be able to welcome you back again sometime soon. For those that use our online booking tool, we’re happy to hear you like the Live Chat option and that it’s helped answer some of your questions, I might be biased but I think our Reservations team is the best! If Live Chat isn’t for you, we’ve also got a Frequently Asked Questions page for each hotel that should help get you sorted.

We received a lot of positive feedback, so thanks for that! We also received quite a few helpful hints and we’ve already implemented some changes based on those. I am happy to report that as of 24 August you’ll now have the option to review your booking prior to submitting it, and to go back and make any changes or correct any typos that may have occurred. We’ve also added your departure date to the summary page so you can be absolutely certain your booking is just the way you want it.

As for your request for more photos, we’re listening! Stay tuned for more exciting changes to the site down the line. And if you have further comments or concerns about the website, just flick me an email.
