Golden Summer Forecast

With summer officially kicking off next week, recent weather reports have forecasted a long, hot and dry summer stretching ahead of us with above-average temperatures throughout the country. So there is a glimmer of hope for us all, before we all get too down in the dumps over the economic climate.

Recent media attention over economic turmoil, coupled with political unrest in some popular tourist destinations, has forced many of us to rethink our overseas travel ventures. In the wake of all this economic doom and gloom many of us have set out on our own personal search for some kind of solace this coming summer, and let’s be honest – we are all well overdue and much deserving of a break this year!

Now that December is almost upon us, the vow of warm, sunny weather has lived up to its promise for most of the country. The weekends are already being spent in the park, on the deck or at the beach, and the sunscreen has made a definite return.

As 2008 wraps up, the weather report couldn’t have come at a better time to boost our spirits and provide inspiration for festive cheer. Reports of the fast approaching warm weather will most definitely be welcomed by many Kiwi holiday-makers and provides us all with the perfect opportunity to explore the breathtaking sights and sounds of our very own backyard.

So whether your planning a family beach escape, an adventurous road trip around the South Island, an undisturbed few days at home or an exciting tiki-tour up north this summer, be sure to leave behind the stresses of the year – relax, rejuvenate and recharge the batteries for 2009.

With Heritage Hotels located in 11 locations throughout New Zealand, from Carrington Resort in Northland to Heritage Queenstown in the deep South, what better way to make the most of the summer season than by indulging yourself to a holiday escape somewhere special!

Wherever your Summer vacation takes you, the team at Heritage and CityLife Hotels would like to wish you all a very safe and happy Christmas and a prosperous 2009!
