CityLife Auckland Employee Wins Prestigious NZ Hotel Industry Awards
Heritage Hotels are proud to congratulate CityLife Auckland’s front office manager (FOM), Neil Hemraj, who has just won at the NZ Hotel Industry Award’s for Hotel Industry Front Office Services Employee of the Year 2018.
The award was announced at a prestigious event of 300 hotel industry professionals in Auckland late last week.
“I am absolutely delighted with the win. It is a great endorsement not only of my career but also the culture of encouragement and excellence fostered at CityLife Auckland. I am still overwhelmed with the good wishes from so many clients and colleagues coming in,” says Neil Hemraj.
“From my first interview at CityLife Auckland, I knew my goal was to be the front office manager there. I enjoy the wide variety of arts and entertainment industry clientele and also the company values of H.O.P.E we strive for in everything thing we do. It took me seven years of hard work and dedication to achieve my goal of becoming FOM and now this award is the absolute icing on the cake,” says Neil Hemraj.
Originally from South Africa, Neil arrived in New Zealand in 2008. He joined Heritage Auckland as a receptionist and was promoted to senior receptionist in 2010. Recognising his worth, in 2011 he was promoted to assistant manager there.
In 2015 he transferred over to front office manager of CityLife Auckland, a role he holds today.
“Neil’s passion for the industry and his long term commitment to our hotel group, with a career spanning 10 years, has greatly contributed to the consistency of our service and brand values”, says Nicole Lawson, general manager of CityLife Auckland who championed his entry in the awards this year.
“Neil’s immaculate presentation and upbeat persona, his attention to detail and his unwavering focus on customer service, are huge assets to our hotel. I am so glad the judges recognised his merits that we witness daily in his guest interactions and with his team. His award success is very well-deserved,” adds Nicole Lawson.
