The Hotel is equipped with a fire alarm system. It is important that you familiarise yourself with the evacuation procedures. A floor plan with FIRE EXITS highlighted is mounted on the back of your entrance door. Please familiarise yourself with the information provided.
If you have limited hearing, sight or mobility, please notify Reception. For assistance please call Reception by dialling 0 from your room.
FIRE
In the event of a fire, the alarms will sound in the building:
Please evacuate the building using the nearest Fire Exit and gather at the highlighted assembly point
Follow all instructions given to you by the Fire Warden or any member of the Fire Service
Only use firefighting equipment if no danger exist
EARTHQUAKE
In the event of an earthquake occurring, please follow the Civil Defence guidelines below:
- Stay calm and position yourself in a safe place:
- away from windows
- away from objects which may fall and cause injury
- Civil Defence recommends taking shelter under sturdy door frames or solid furniture
- Do not move more than a few steps until the earthquake is over. Do not rush outside
- If you are in a lift at the time of the earthquake our lifts will open at the nearest floor. Exit the lift and take cover
- If instructed to vacate the building, follow the evacuation procedures
