What Time Is Check-In And Check-Out?
Check-in is from 2:00 p.m., and Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. If you're arriving earlier, we can hold your bags, or can possibly make your room available for an early check-in if pre-arranged (charges may apply). Late check-out can be arranged, subject to availability (charges apply).
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
Our cancellation policy may be found on your booking confirmation, but in general, for pre-pay packages or non-flexible packages there is no refund for cancellation. Please check your booking confirmation for your specific cancellation policy.
Is Portside Hotel A Pet-Friendly Hotel?
Unfortunately, our property is unable to host pets. Please contact us directly regarding working support dogs.
What Is The Hotel’s Smoking Policy?
In accordance with New Zealand smoking legislation, our properties are smoke-free. There is no smoking/vaping allowed in rooms or public areas of the property, cleaning charges may apply if if a guest is found to have smoked inside the building.
Is Portside Hotel Good For Business Travellers?

Is Portside Hotel A Kid-Friendly Hotel?
Yes, our hotel is children-friendly. We provide holiday packs on arrival, and our team will be happy to provide you with options for local kid-friendly activities.

Unfortunately, our property does not offer accessible rooms for guests.

Yes, we offer complimentary unlimited WiFi for your convenience. A fair usage policy applies and charges may apply if excessive usage is detected.
Is Room Service Available?
No, we do not currently offer room service. However, continental breakfast baskets are available for guests, delivered in-room in the evening.
Are Turndown Services Available?
No, turndown services are not available.

Yes, we have a lap pool on-site for guests to enjoy.
Is There Free Parking?
Yes, we have free non-covered parking on-site for your convenience.
Are Laundry Services Available?
Yes, our one and two bedroom suites have a washing machine and dryer in-room, additionally, on-site laundry facilities are available for all.
Does Portside Hotel Offer Event Or Meeting Spaces?
Yes, our meeting facilities boast views over the harbour and bay, and can cater up to 40 people theatre style or 40 people for a cocktail reception. Please contact us for more details.
Does Portside Hotel Have A Restaurant?
No, we do not have an on-site restaurant, however, many restaurants in Gisborne will offer charge back to the hotel.
Does Portside Hotel Have A Bar?
No, however, a minibar is available at reception when reception is operational.
Is An Airport Shuttle Available?
No, we do not currently offer airport shuttle service.
Is Car Service Available?
No, we currently do not offer car service.
