For those who take a guilty pleasure in reality TV, Heritage Hotels secured Heritage Collection Lake Resort Cromwell as the host hotel for Married at First Sight Australia’s hopeful honeymoon couple, Melissa and John. Their honeymoon episodes are screening now on TV3 in New Zealand.
The hotel is the perfect place for a romantic escape. Set on the shores of stunning Lake Dunstan in the South Island of New Zealand, the five-star property is just 45 minutes from Queenstown airport and a world away from city stresses.
Heritage Collection Lake Resort Cromwell’s architecturally designed over-water villas are crafted with a boatshed theme. Hugging the lake’s edge, the elegant villas are available from one, two and three bedroom accommodation configurations; all with magnificent lake and mountain views.
In total there are 47 rooms available on the resort as well as a modern conference centre suitable for weddings and conferences.
Also on site at Heritage Collection Lake Resort Cromwell is The Moorings restaurant and bar offering delicious dining daily.
Guests might be tempted to simply stay on site and enjoy the lake setting, but Cromwell has a lot to offer visitors. Close by, are the region’s most famous ski slopes, and an array of world famous Bannockburn wineries.
Also not to be missed is the unique Highlands Motorsport Park where passengers can experience speeds of over 200 kilometres-an-hour whilst being driven by a race driver around the international standard race track.
For a more restful day, the charming Old Cromwell Town Historic Reserve is a delight to explore, with a range of charming bijoux shops, cafes and galleries chock full of local artists’ accomplished work.
