What Time Is Check-In And Check-Out?
Check-in at Rutherford Hotel Nelson is from 2:00 p.m., and check-out is at 10:00 a.m. If you're arriving earlier, we can hold your bags, or can possibly make your room available for an early check-in if pre-arranged (charges may apply). Late check-out can be arranged, subject to availability (charges apply).
What Is Rutherford Hotel Nelson's Cancellation Policy?
Our cancellation policy will be on your booking confirmation, but in general, for prepay packages or non-flexible packages, there is no refund for cancellation. Flexible packages usually allow cancellation 24 hours before the 2:00 p.m. check-in. Please check your booking confirmation for your specific cancellation policy.
Is Rutherford Hotel Nelson A Pet-Friendly Hotel?
Unfortunately our property is unable to take pets. Please contact us regarding working support dogs.
What Is The Hotel’s Smoking Policy?
In accordance with New Zealand smoking legislation, Heritage properties are smoke-free. Each property does have a designated smoking/vaping area outside. There is no smoking/vaping in rooms or public areas and cleaning charges may apply if smoking is found inside the building. Please contact reception to ask where the designated smoking areas are.

Yes, the outdoor pool is open between November and March. There is also a health centre with gym and sauna available all year round.
Is Parking Free at Rutherford Hotel Nelson?
Onsite car parking is available for $10 per day, undercover car parking for $15 per day. Four EV chargers are available at $15 per night including parking fee.
Are Laundry Services Available?
Yes, there is same-day laundry service available.

No, but our concierge can arrange a taxi to take you to the airport. A public bus service to the airport is also available.

No, but we are able to arrange a taxi to assist you at any time. Please don't hesitate to ask at reception, if required.
